Targeting the Needs of English Language Learners

Our Department's Mission

The Bilingual/ESL/Title III Department is integrated within the Instructional Support Division of Region 16 Educational Service Center. Our mission is to provide technical assistance and professional development for districts that promote compliance with state and federal policy guidelines for educating English Language Learners (ELLs). Our department also strives to offer innovative, research-based professional development activities that are designed to advance the linguistic proficiency and academic achievement of ELLs. In addition, members of the Region 16 ESC Title III Shared Service Arrangement receive services and support aligned to the purpose and intent of Title III, Part A of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
