What is Demorcacy?

Democracy is a one of many forms of government. In Australia all Australian citizens have the right to say what they think espically things that affect their everyday lives. Also people in Australia, over 18 have the right to vote for e.g. the Prime Minister.

Where and When did Democacy Begin and What are the Benifits?

Democarcy started in Athens, Greece. Australia became apart of Democracy in 1901.

Some of the Benifits are that now women are allowed to vote, we all have an equal say and we also have frequent elections at a certain time.

Types and Current Democracies

Some types of democracies are Direct Democracy, Representative Democracy and Liberal Democracy. The current democracy in Australia is Representative Democracy.
