CTE Teacher Training PD Convening - Southeast Region
(ESCs: 4, 5, 6 and 13)
This school year may look a little different than we planned, but the lessons we’ve learned in the past two years have prepared our CTE teachers to adjust quickly. We are so grateful for all our CTE teachers and want to help prepare them for success and growth in the classroom while connecting each teacher with both resources and authentic collaborative experiences.
Through the Texas Education Agency, the CTE Teacher Training Professional Development project will host 4 regional convenings starting this Spring. Each convening is designed to provide CTE teachers with skills and strategies to help students be successful through enhanced classroom management skills, better instructional strategies, understanding different learning styles, and a deep dive into the TEKS and program standards.
We recognize the effect COVID has had on each classroom, including the strain that the sub shortage across the state has placed on school districts and charters. The design of these 4 regional convenings was made in a concerted effort to shorten travel while still providing quality professional development. We hope you can join us as we partner with you in your region.
This face-to-face training will be handled by Region 20 ESC. Please register at the link provided:
