March Update
Parents,
March at Crimson Point is all about parent involvement and there are two great opportunities coming up.
Friday, March 3rd is the end of Read Week and we are celebrating by having a Flashlight Friday, we invite all parents or any adult to read with their students from 3:00-3:30. You and your family can read in the classroom or any common space in the building with all the lights off and a flashlight.
Tuesday, March 7th is March Math Night!! We will be handing out math kits to your family so you can play math games at home! This is our 2nd Title 1 event of the year and we hope to see everyone there. Hopefully, you had a chance to register to receive free pizza. If not, I encourage you to come anyway and learn some math games with your child and your classroom teacher.
Thursday, March 2nd - Panda Express night! Everyone who orders online (anywhere in the country and uses our code) gives a 28% kickback to our PBIS account. 100% of the money from PBIS goes back to kids through student rewards, pizza parties, and purchasing items for our reset room. More information is below on the flyer.
March also brings Open Enrollment: Every year provides an opportunity to parents to apply for open enrollment. “We recognize that some assigned school attendance areas may not meet the needs of families in our district, and there are families who live out of our district boundaries who want to choose our schools for their children.
Idaho law (33-1402) allows us to offer an opportunity to apply for a change of school through open enrollment.”

Activity of the Month - Activities for parents to do at home with thier students!
M&M Math
Who knew using a large bag of M&Ms or other small candies could provide so much learning? For younger kiddos, work on skip counting. Have your student arrange candies into piles of 2, 3, 5, 10, etc. and have them count by those numbers. This will get them ready for later learning in addition and multiplication.
For older students, have them arrange candies into arrays and talk about multiplication. You can also have students practice division with and without remainders by “sharing” their candies with others (or making piles of a certain number of candies or a certain number of groups).
Kindergarten Registration Open Now!!!
Housing Change?
Has your family's housing changed? If your family has experienced housing changes since the start of the year, your child(ren) may be eligible for support through the McKinney-Vento Assistant Act. Students who may qualify are those who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence living in situations such as:
