FJVD presents PETER PAN!
Last weekend, students from grades K-8 participated in Father John V. Doyle School's performance of Peter Pan. Grades K-5 students and faculty have been working together on this production for a few months now as part of their curriculum. Students in the middle school were able to audition for their parts and participate in this wonderful extra-curricular activity! Family and friends enjoyed the shows , matinee and evening on May 18, held at East Greenwich High School. Many thanks to Mrs. Judy Burns, assisted by faculty members and parent volunteers, who worked to prepare our students in all aspects of theater production and to produce this successful show!
Musical theatre has always been an absolute passion of mine, for as long as I can remember. As a child, watching Aileen Quinn in Annie and Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl was how I loved to spend my time. To me, nothing in this world can compare to the way a well-choreographed musical number can bring an entire audience to life! It has been a pleasure to be able to bring my love and knowledge of the performing arts to the students here at FJVD. Directing a show of this scale is no easy task, and I want to again thank each and every parent, teacher, and student who has helped make these performances a success. To the cast and crew, I want to say: I am proud of you! Go out there and "Break a leg!"
Love and hugs, ~Mrs. Burns
As always, Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can I help? Send in as little or as many can tabs as you have to Mr. Godin’s Room

Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This opens up Father John V. Doyle School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation. We have already received one check for almost $50 with low key promotion. Now it’s time to “kick it up a notch.”
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
