NEWS FROM THE NURSE
It is recommended that a complete and up-to-date immunization record be kept on file for every student. If your child receives a COVID-19 vaccine, please send proof (once the sequence is complete) to Nurse White in the Health Office. You may send a paper copy of the shot record (preferred) or email a copy to ewhite@sd308.org
Internet Safety Presentation
We want to thank the deupty's from Kendall County Sherriffs Office for providing a great presentation on Internet Safety to our 3rd - 5th grade students. Below are some points that were covered. Ask your student what they learned.
- Online means: computer, laptop, cell phone, tablet, gaming system
- Rule #1 - If you don't like what you see online? Tell a trusted adult!
- some things to remember to keep safe such as: never give out personal information, never meet someone in person you've met online, don't respond to messages that are threatening or inappropriate, never send pictures to a stranger, visit age appropriate sites.
- Rule #2 - When is it OK to share? When you ask your parent or guardian.... and they say YES!
- Rule #3 - Should you meet face-to-face? No Way!
- Some people online may not be who they say they are.
- If you are cyberbullied don't respond, report it and tell a trusted adult.
- Think before you post.
- Control your digital footprint. The trail you leave in cyberspace is your digital footprint.
