Kudos to our special education teachers!
Two legal reminders for all staff:
- Each teacher is responsible for submitting IEP Acknowledgement Form for their respective students. Please check this list for your students, review their SDIs, and keep the case manager in the loop if the student's behaviors or academics are declining. Special education teachers will collect the necessary data to determine additional supports for the students. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pL3KG3W79qL_7lXYeA1wt61Pemo-_-vKnPg7dKUwHSU/edit#gid=629042008
- Teachers are required to to implement a student's SDIs with consistency and efficacy. The IEP is a legal document that we are required to follow. For example, if a student has 'extended time - up to one class period' in their IEP, we are required to follow it if the student needs it.
If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
