Your Hero Opportunity This Week-- Give Students Time to Reflect,Think, and Respond


Our new Science Coordinator, Katie Braedon shared with the Science Vertical Team new resources and Science materials available to each grade level. She also shared at a recent meeting the crucial piece of Interactive Notebooks is the student generated work and thinking. This of course goes for all contents. I have loved seeing so many interactive notebooks in classes. It's a perfect way to capture student learning and to monitor progress. Take time this week as you present a lesson for their notebooks or journals to ensure the key piece of student output. This is where students reflect on the lesson, the activity, draws conclusions, or makes connections. This is where one notebook will look different from another. This is also where you will get some of your best formative assessments. I've included a great article below.
