YES TO YOUTH Group Counseling: Spring Semester
BBIS has joined with the Yes to Youth (a privately funded organization that provides a variety of services to our youth and their families) to help meet the needs of our students. BBIS (partnered with Yes to Youth) will be offering group counseling sessions to students whose parents would like for them to participate. The counseling sessions will be confidential in order for students to feel comfortable, and counselors will only share information from group sessions with parents as required by state law to protect their safety. Participation is voluntary and parents may request their student withdraw from the group at any time. Group counseling sessions are planned to begin on Monday, March 22, 2020.
If you are interested in having your student participate in one of the student support groups listed below, please CLICK HERE to complete a short form (this form will close on March 5, 2021).
- Grief
- Bullying
- Anxiety
- Self-Harming Behaviors
- Divorce
- Anger Management
- Peer/Conflict Resolution
Those who have completed the form can expect a short note from the counselor along with a required permission form from Yes to Youth. You can also print the permission slip using the pdf attachments below.
*Please note: It has been the case where specific groups cannot be conducted due to low enrollment, so the counselor will combine students and make sure specific needs are addressed in the group setting.
For specific questions, please contact the school counselor, Sarah Kassuba.
