Dear IG Families:

SNOW! How exciting were the kids in your house this morning?! Now that there is officially some snow, please remember to send snow gear for outdoor recess. We go outside daily as long as the wind chill is not below 20 degrees.

Please enjoy this long (3 day) weekend in honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will honor his work with a schoolwide display of each of our student's dreams for our world. We will be sure to share photos once it is up. School will resume on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Our Secondhand FreeMarket is back! We hope to make it a fun springtime event for years to come. If you are planning clothing or household donations in the coming months, please consider saving them for this event. Donation drop-offs will be Thursday, May 18th, and Friday, May 19th.

We are very excited to celebrate World Read Aloud Day on Wednesday, February 1st at Ivan Green. According to the LitWorld website “World Read Aloud Day began in 2010 to celebrate the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories.” Our goal for our 2023 celebration here at Ivan Green is to do just that. In order to create community and amplify new stories, each classroom will have at least 1 guest reader.

Please be on the look out for a flyer coming home with this information.
