WE ARE PARSONS STRONG AND READY!

Big picture

We are so excited for the First Day of School!

We will definitely be starting the year like no other. Nonetheless, we cannot wait to welcome our students for the first day of school! We appreciate your patience and grace during yesterday's District Wide Technology Check. Although we know it was very frustrating for those of you who could not get logged on, GCPS's Information Management Team (IMT Department) was able to determine the problem and have been working around the clock to address the issues that occurred.

IF we encounter technical issues tomorrow, we ask for your continued patience as the district trouble shoots the issues. Your child's teacher will be communicating via email regarding any updates and further directions to access Zoom links. We ask that you communicate directly with your child's teacher using the contact information shared during Open House. For those students who are under the care of another adult during the day, please share any updates with the child care provider. Thank you again for your continued support during this time.

One of my favorite things is to begin the day together. Be sure to visit Parsons' eClass landing page at 8:50 am each day for the morning announcements.

Have a great first day! I am so proud to be your Principal!

Return to School Parent Preference Survey

Parents completed the Gwinnett County Public Schools' Return to School Parent Survey at the beginning of July. The district recently mailed out parent letters stating parent preference from the July survey. Well, circumstances change and we would like to get the most up to date parent preference for each student at Parsons. Please complete the Google Form attached for each of your children who attend Parsons by Wednesday, August 19th. We will use this updated information to support the recent phase in plan for returning in person.

Student Portal and eCLASS Introduction

eCLASS Passwords

Is your child having eCLASS password problems?

  • Contact your teacher if you are unable to log into eCLASS. They will assist you with resetting your password. The password is often reset to your student number.
  • If you are a new student or if your password has been reset by your teacher, you may need to active your eCLASS account. Follow these steps to activate your account. *Begin at step 1 of the document.

eCLASS Error

If you have changed the default language on your computer or on Google Chrome to a language other than English, you may receive an error when trying to log into eCLASS. The error states "IBM Security Access Manager." Our county tech department has advised parents to change the default language back to English until this error has been resolved.

Coming Soon...Curbside Media Center Services

Have you read all the books you have at home? Are you using curbside pickup for your groceries and school supplies? This school year Parsons will be offering curbside pickup too. We are excited to offer curbside pickup to check out books from the Media Center at Parsons! You will be able to check out all of your favorites including picture books, early chapter books, fiction books, nonfiction books, graphic novels, magazines, and much more. We also have many new books, and you could be the first to check these out! You will simply reserve your book(s) no later than the Sunday evening before your weekly pickup. You will come to Parsons with your name in your car window, and we will bring the books to you. You will not be getting out of your car, and we will be wearing gloves and a mask. Safety is our top priority! You will need to bring the books you are returning from the previous week on your pickup day. We have such great readers at Parsons and look forward to getting books to you to enjoy!

The first curbside pick up will be the week of August 17th.Click below for an informational flyer about curbside pick up.

Missing Library Books

We are still missing some library books & textbooks which were checked out last school year. If you still have books out, you should have received an email last week. We will continue to have the cart out by the car rider entrance door each day from 8:30 - 3:30 through August 11th. You can also return them to the front desk. Thank you so much for checking for these items and returning them to the school. As we are preparing for our new school year, we would like the books returned so others may enjoy them this school year as well. Thank you so much!
