The Weekly Hoot
September 18-24, 2017
Greetings All -
It is Sunday evening and I am just getting around to the Hoot. I have been busy all weekend, and honestly feeling a little stressed in all there is left for me to do that should have been done yesterday and today, but right now I am just trying to get this done because I am soooo sad. A sweet young girl that dated one of my best friend's sons was one of the fatalities in the wreck on 149 this afternoon and then to find out another beautiful young woman, whom I have known her whole life, committed suicide yesterday is almost too much to bare. It makes everything that was making me stressed seem so unimportant right now. Prayers to the families and friends of these two beautiful souls. Life is just so precious, and sometimes we forget it, don't we?
As I have visited a few classrooms this week and last week, I have seen some amazing things in action. I know that when we are all beginning the school year, sometimes we can get overwhelmed and wonder if we are doing anything right or making any progress at all. I assure you that you are! I see small moments every day where I know you are making a difference. No one is crying in PK anymore! I see many smiles on students' faces in the morning when they get out of their cars and other faces smiling as they get on the bus in the afternoons! Students are engaged as I observe in the classes and seem ready to learn. Yes, all of you are making progress and doing tons right! I can not thank you enough for that!
I hope everyone has had a great weekend! Every Hoot I say it, and every Hoot I mean it. You are the best group of people I could ever work with! Thank you for all you do every day.
Love to all,
Marcy
