Star Gazing...

Congratulations to Chris Gieringer, star Interventionist...our STAR Teacher of the Week having the most nominations! You are entitled to a week long jeans/shorts pass and designated parking!

Her colleagues write:

  • I appreciated her help this week covering my class and giving me feedback on their work habits. She great at helping students reach specific goals and at being a resource for all the classroom teachers.
  • Chris is the ultimate professional. She does everything she can each and every day to make Old Town the great school that it is. She shares her vast knowledge with others to help us become better at our jobs. This place just wouldn't be the same with out her.
  • Chris is a wonderful teacher and mentor to many of our students and staff. She is positive and willing to do whatever is needed in order to make sure all our students are successful.
  • She is the best dressed person here. She is so positive and just because...
  • What an amazing lady you are! Thank you for all you do to love on and support our students and staff!

Aiming for the Stars...

HUGE thanks to Amanda Chadney, Elizabeth Clawson and the rest of the CATCH team for all your work in planning another exciting Family Fit Night!!! What a blast! Warmest appreciations to our rock star Kinder team for the yummy treats at this week's Faculty Meeting. The interactive word wall approach was a very creative touch! Ginormous THANKS to the Specials Team for reminding us that events+perceptions=outcomes modeling this formula for us in a fun and engaging way and to Kathy, Rachel, and Kristina for reminding us of the importance of "changing the state of the brain" to keep it working at optimal levels!

What another fast paced, full and exciting week! Thank each you for your hard work in striving to deliver world class instruction to our STAR Texans! Remember to post an affirmation or two for your colleagues in the staff lounge and have an awesome weekend!
