Some background about the coming of Pisces...

Pisces originated from the Babylonian constellations of Šinunutu which means "the great swallow" and Anunitum which means "the Lady of the Heaven". In the first millennium bc, the Astronomical Diaries referred to the constellation as DU. NU. NU. meaning "the fish cord or ribbon".

Fun facts and other great things

Pisces is associated with Aphrodite and Eros, the who escaped from the monster Typhon by leaping into the sea and transforming themselves into fish. In order not to lose each other, they tied themselves together with rope.

The Astrological Symbol of Pisces is the Pair of Fishes as Pisces is Latin for the word "fish". They reflect the dual nature of life; each Fish swims in different directions, representing reality and nonreality, consciousness and the unconscious. It is one of the earliest zodiac signs on record, with the two fish appearing as far back as c. 2300 BCE on an Egyptian coffin lid

Pisces is the 14th largest constellation but it's stars are very faint

The Fishes are also associated with the German legend of Antenteh, who owned just a tub and a crude cabin when he met a magical fish. They offered him a wish, which he refused. However, his wife begged him to return to the fish and ask for a beautiful furnished home. This wish was granted, but her desires were not satisfied. She then asked to be a queen and have a palace, but when she asked to become a goddess, the fish became angry and took the palace and home, leaving the couple with the tub and cabin once again.

Main Stars

Pisces does not have any stars brighter than fourth magnitude. The brightest star in the constellation is eta Piscium, also known as Alpherg or Kullat Nunu. It is a bright class G giant star with a faint companion, lying approximately 294 light-years from Earth.

Gamma Piscium, the second brightest star, is a yellow giant approximately 130 light-years distant.

Alpha Piscium or Alrescha ("the cord") marks the point where the cords joining the tails are knotted together. It is the third brightest star in Pisces. It consists of a close pair of white dwarfs.

What does it mean to be a Pisces?

Pisceans tend to be shy and quiet. They are sometimes elusive, refusing to show their real selves. They are modest and thoughtful, sometimes displaying remarkable musical talent. In their leisure time, Pisces may work to alleviate their emotional stress through exercise. They especially enjoy sports that bring them into contact with their own Element of Water, such as swimming and sailing. They are very artistic, and may excel at music and drama. The great strength of the Pisces-born is in their compassion. They reach out to other people more skillfully than most other Signs, and especially enjoy helping others reach their fullest potential.

Things will start to be revealed this month, in September, and at first you may think each burst of good news or opportunity that comes up is an isolated event. It is not. Each of these events are coming together to create an exciting new life for you, and if you watch carefully, you will see that parts of your life that seem happy but completely unrelated are actually very much part of a whole."
