STOP DUKE ENERGY'S DIRTY PLAN

Duke Plans 20 Years of Rate Hikes for Dirty Energy

In 2012, Duke raised utility bills 7 percent. In 2013, our bills will increase by 11.8 percent. Duke's 20 Year Plan (IRP) shows that utility rates will increase 20 fold over the next twenty years.

Why?

Duke Energy plans to build EXPENSIVE and dangerous nuclear plants and natural gas facilities to keep aging coal plants online, even though many of Duke Energy's coal plants are over 80 years old. Duke Energy's plan is both EXPENSIVE and DIRTY.
