Weekly Update From Holli
January 22-26
End of the Quarter
3rd Quarter Here We Come
Great job everyone dealing with the super cold. I hope that was the worst of it this winter!! Indoor recess went great. Thanks to everyone who made that happen this week. Recess supervisors did a great job keeping student safe and busy. Tracy and Tori really are amazing people who are always willing to help. Thanks to Deb Braatz for the equipment and flexibility!!!
Now for 3rd quarter.
This is the quarter where so much growth happens and where teachers feel like "We need to get going." I know that is always how I felt this time of year. Set goals for yourself and have your students set goals for themselves as well. It really does make a difference. It is also the time where we start to feel the effects of not being able to be outside more and are sick of it being dark out!! Take care of yourselves!!! Do things that make you happyπ
Inside recess Schedule

I already have one done and am super excited to be in classrooms as much as possible. Keep inviting me.
Jan. 19th PD Day

SLO/PPG Mid Year Check- Due Jan. 26
Set Goals/Re-set Goals
Take this time to reflect on where your students are at and where you want them to go. Find ways to include them in setting goals for their learning so they can see their growth and challenge themselves to reach the benchmark.
Reflect on your PPG and set or reset goals for your own Professional Growth.
Summer School
Planning For Summer and Interest
Look for an email from me soon to respond to about summer school. The board has approved June17-July 3 as summer school dates. In my email I will be asking for ideas for new class ideas. You are also welcome to propose a class that may be a "camp" idea that is outside those dates. For instance a math club that would meet for a week or 4 days in July or August from 8am-?

Shout Outs- LOVE THISβ€οΈπ§‘ππππ
Here is what you said about each other!!!- Here are 10!!!! More to come next week
- The MENTORS helping us with all of our EE. We are SOOOOOOOO lucky to have such outstanding mentors to help us with EE especially with artifacts as this is a new thing for me. Also, it's my first ever time completing all of my EE digitally, so that's been extra nice to have Mentor support
- I would like to thank Kassie and Mel for supporting me in both the kindergarten and 1st grade class rooms. Also a BIG shout out to the main office staff for redirecting my friend A every time I need it.
- The 4th grade team and all that support it throughout the day
- As always the stars are always Cyndy, Ken, and the floating aid in my room helping deal with difficult situations
- Jen Porter! I needed a book she shared with me how to find it and how to check books out for myself. Super useful info!
- Becky Jacob has given me so many great tips and tricks to make the lunch table behaviors more manageable! She and I participate in lots of great Buddy Activities with our kids. It helps the 4th graders remember that they are role models for our little guys and has significantly improved their behavior in the lunchroom. It has been great to see how sweet and kind they are with their buddy and they have really grown as respectful pirates as a result of our buddy days! They are hoping for WEEKLY projects instead of Monthly Projects! I appreciate all of Becky's ideas, her gentle suggestions and her very laid back style. She also verbally appreciated my help during push in sessions.
- so many who make my job easier!
- High recognition to Tori Hush, Tori is everywhere and does it all with a smile! Michele and Kerri are very helpful and supportive of me.
- Kim R, Ken W, Kathy, Kassie, Amy S, Niki S and my 1st grade team.
- Amy Schaumann helping with Star testing
