Culturally Responsive Teaching for Multilingual Learners: Tools for Equity
Explore tools and strategies for culturally responsive teaching to help you build an even stronger school community that is inclusive of multilingual learners.
This book includes practical, research-based tools for implementing culturally responsive teaching in your context. It explores topics such as:
- Building cultural competency,
- Placing students at the center of learning,
- Leveraging students' linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and
- Uniting students' schools, families, and communities.
MLS Introduction Training
Two virtual training sessions will be offered on the Multilingual Literacy SIFE Screener on March 4 from 10:00-11:30am and March 8 from 3:00-4:30pm.We recommend attending this training if you have not previously attended an MLS training or if you have questions about the updates. This training will include an overview of the Multilingual Literacy SIFE Screener and is recommended for new users, those interested in a refresher, or anyone with questions about the 2021 updates.
