Rehearse information
Drilling and practicing information is one of the most effective encoding techniques. It will help you recall the information much easier.
Ex: Using notecards with definitions to reference to
Use Rhymes, Acronyms or Imagery.
Rhymes, acronyms and imagery are all mnemonic devices they are used to make it easier to retrieve information by associating it with something else.
Example of rhyme: "I before E Except after C"
Example of Acronyms: PEMDAS ( Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)
Example of Imagery: Flow chart.
