ART WORKS
It’s that time of year again, where we are learning to produce some really good art to be made into diaries, calendars, sketch pads, mouse pads and cards. They make awesome presents for grandparents etc for Christmas. Teachers will soon be putting these works on display for parents to look at. Information forms are coming home next week. There are some sample copies of these products outside the office for you to view if you wish.
SCHOOL ACCOUNTS
YUMMY STICKERS
Could all Yummy sticker charts or plastic coupons please be bought to Room 5 by Thursday the 27th of September. This is a great way for our school to get new sports equipment by just eating healthy. Thank you for your support.
FUNDRAISING
REAR A BULL CALF FOR THE SCHOOL
In light of not being able to commit to slinks, this year, the Toko School Fundraising Committee would love those who can, to raise a bull calf (to 100kg) and then we would sell it as a fundraising opportunity.
If you are able to do this please contact, Paul Kowalewski 0276306248
TOKO SCHOOL WILD BOAR, GOAT AND KIDS, “BIG 3” HUNTING COMPETITION
This is held over Labour Weekend 2018, with the weigh in and prize giving held at the Toko Domain on Sunday 21st October.
It is a fun event for the whole family and we encourage our school families to be involved. We have great prizes and all children who enter receive a spot prize.
Entry forms with more information are available from outside the Toko School Office or on our Toko School website. This year we have an online form that can be filled in instead of the hard copy, if you prefer. The link to this is also on the website.
If you are able to help out on the day can you please email alison.eagar@toko.school.nz. We need help on the bar, selling food, cooking the BBQ and with some of the activities.
TOKO SCHOOL PRODUCTION 2018

If you are keen to be on the production team, please contact Sasha by email at sasha.hancock@toko.school.nz or phone the school office 7622849.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES UPDATE
At our most recent BOT Meeting we discussed the following procedure and have made some amendments which we would like to draw your attention to:

As a parent do you have an enquiry?
If YES - Please make an appointment to see your childs teacher. You can do this by phoning the school office or by e.mailing the staff member concerned. Giving a brief outline of your enquiry is helpful. It is really important that appointments are made so the staff member can give you their full attention and be prepared for the meeting.
NOT SATISFIED? - Please write to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and follow the Complaints Policy.
Associate Principals areas of responsibility:
Mrs Hancock - responsibility for Years 5 - 8
