YOU ARE AWESOME!

Dear Leigh,

You and your students (I believe they were Ms. Engle's homeroom) were so great today when I showed up unexpectedly (in the middle of your class!) with a student in a wheelchair who needed access to the stage. You and the students, alike, welcomed us and eagerly asked what you could do/move to help us get to the stage. I love how everyone did what it took to make it happen. - Nancy Konecki

Shelly thinks that ALL the Classroom Teachers are awesome educators. On 11-6-14 all classroom teachers got their attendance on time with 0 reminders.

Fourth Grade thinks that Dee Vaught is an awesome team player. Dee knows our children so well that she was able to head off a student who was attempting to spend stolen money! Thanks Dee.

Leigh thinks that Brittany is an awesome team player. Brittany gave Leigh a cool rehearsal poster.

Tamela thinks that Judy Hockenbrough is awesome. Judy introduced the pumpkin book challenge to third grade. Tamela writes, "What a wonderful idea. I enjoyed all of the pumpkin book characters."

Sarah thinks that Raschel and Jeanette are awesome. They filled in the last two volunteer spots for the Spring Creek BBQ gig. These ladies are going to earn their aprons!!!

Leigh thinks that Sue, Sandy and Dolores are awesome. They are always flexible at "Show Time" and help put the production together especially when the performers need extra rehearsals!)

Abby thinks that Raschel is an awesome team player. Raschel is doing an amazing job with the book fair and is helping to meet the needs of all our students.

Leigh thinks that 1st Grade is awesome because they showed their students a You Tube video to help practice for their performance. (They did this while Leigh was out with Dan.)

Abby thinks that Shelly and Denise are just AWESOME everyday!

Sarah has observed that Tonya is a Super AP! Tonya runs the most efficient testing program in the district! She makes sure that every student has the opportunity to give their best each time they test. Thanks Tonya!

REMINDER FROM TECHNOLOGY

The GCISD network will be down over the Thanksgiving Holidays. As you can imagine this is a huge project originally planned this for the week we were out in July. Our only option now is Thanksgiving. We will bring all internal technology systems down at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2014. If all goes well, things will be back up by Monday the 24th.
