Digital Citizenship - Week of December 4
Students in grade 3 to 5 will be receiving their second session of Digital Citizenship. Jordan Jackson students will receive their second sessions in December. During these short, age appropriate lessons, we will review previous lessons and continue to learn the importance of being a responsible digital citizen. Lessons continue to be created using resources from Common Sense Education, a digital citizenship curriculum.
Grade 3: Your Rings of Responsibility: A lesson on how a good digital citizen takes responsibility for themselves, their communities, and their world.
Grade 4: Be a Super Digital Citizen: A lesson on ways to be an upstander when we see cyberbullying.
Grade 5: Is it Cyberbullying?: A lesson on what cyberbullying is and what you can do to stop it.
Let’s Keep Talking
Here you will find resources on ways to continue the conversation at home. Each area provides information along with activities that you can do as a family to further children’s knowledge of what it means to be a good digital citizen.

ROTARY CLUB OF MANSFIELD TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE
The Rotary Club of Mansfield is holding their annual Toys for Tots Drive to collect and deliver toys to children in the area. Half of the toys collected are picked up by the local Marines and distributed to needy families in Bristol County. The other half is delivered to West Side Benevolent Circle of Mansfield for distribution to local families and their children.
Jordan/Jackson is again hosting decorated donation boxes in both our East and West offices. All toys should be new and unwrapped. The drive receives many toys for younger children, leaving teenagers with little to receive. Gift cards are great gifts for teens. Monetary donations are always welcome and can be sent to: Mansfield Rotary Club, P.O. Box 251, Mansfield, MA 02048
Last day for drop-off is December 12.

iCARE Reading Volunteers Needed
The iCARE Disability Awareness program is looking for volunteers who can read books about special needs to all the classrooms in the preschool and elementary schools to help teach our typically developing kids about their special-needs peers. If you are interested in volunteering, it can be very rewarding and takes as little as half an hour of your time. Please contact Kim Piro at
email@example.com or call/text at 781-630-0463. Readings will start in January and go through Feb/March at all three schools.
