Dachau is the first concentration camp, it was established in 1933. It was responsible for 180,000 deaths of people who were wrongfully accused because they were different. It originally held less Jews and held Gypsies, homosexuals, and criminals were originally entered. After the Nazis used prison labor to expand the camp (1937-1938). The Schutzstaffel (protective squadron) took it over and converted it into a training camp. German doctors used cruel medical experiments on prisoners at Dachau.
