Our Nation 240 Years Old (1776 to 2016)

I Reflect on Key Historical Events

Brought here slaves

Emancipation Proclamation 1863

Juneteenth 1865

Plessy vs Ferfuson 1908

Brown vs Board of Education 1954

Voters Rights Act 1965

We must reflect on our past if we are to have a bright future

Reflection Defined:

A thought, idea, or opinion formed or a remark made as a result of MEDITATION

Black History Month is a Time of Reflection

Reflection Should Inspire Inspiration

Many examples of reflection in the form of dreams and their interpretation

Joseph the Interpreter

Gen 37:5 Joseph has a dream of his brother serving him

Gen 40:5 Egyptian kings baker and wine tester have dreams (Joseph interprets)

Gen 41:1 Pharaoh has a dream of fat cows and skinny cows (Joseph interprets)

Reflection must lead us to inspiration

REFLECTION and INSPIRATION are in the title of my book

What inspired me to write a book?

Rereading saved text messages where me and my friends encouraged one another through trying times. As I read old text messages, it revealed some powerful messages that ministered to me.

I felt I can capture these messages and share them, thus the book

All inspired thought is not of God; It must be vetted with scripture.

Inspirations: Unveiling Spriritual Warfare Through Reflections

“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6:12 ASV

Design and flow of Inspirations:

  1. Reflection (Is time sensitive and must be viewed in the proper context)
  2. Memory Verse (What does the Lord say about this matter?)
  3. Commitment Statement (I will follow him)

It's not about our History, it is about His - story and how He shared His - story using about redemption through his son Jesus Christ.

The Lord is a Creator; therefore, I Must Create with Purpose!

Echard Family Prayer Shared in this Book

Dear Lord, shine your light in every corner of my life and reveal to me what is not pleasing to you. Help me to be submissive to your will and teachings. Equip me through your Holy Spirit to be spiritually discerning. Give me the words and strength to minister to the lost and broken hearted. Reveal the works of the enemy and cast aside his ploys to defeat me.
