DREAM. LEARN. ACHIEVE.

Message From the Principal

Dear Artondale Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and filled with excitement as we prepare to embark on another wonderful school year together. It is with great joy that I extend my warmest welcome to both our returning families and those who are joining the Artondale community for the first time. The start of a new school year brings fresh opportunities, new friendships, and endless possibilities for growth and learning.

Our Vision Statement, "Every child, every day will explore, create, and be an empathetic global citizen," beautifully encapsulates our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only curious explorers and creative thinkers but also compassionate members of a global community. At Artondale Elementary, we firmly believe that every child's journey is unique and deserves to be celebrated. With this vision in mind, we are dedicated to creating an environment that encourages our students to have a growth mindset, dream big, and be respectful to everyone in our community.

Our Mission Statement, "At Artondale Elementary, we provide an inclusive culture where all children have opportunities to be empowered to reach their highest potential by remaining curious, innovative, and following their dreams," drives us forward as educators and guides us in our daily interactions with your children. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive community where each child feels valued, they belong, and empowered to achieve their highest potential. By nurturing their curiosity, fostering innovation, and encouraging them to pursue their dreams, we aim to equip them with the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

As we come together for another year of learning, growth, and discovery, I invite you to join us in this shared journey. Your partnership, involvement, and support play an invaluable role in creating a positive and enriching educational experience for our students. Whether you're a familiar face or a new addition to our Artondale family, your contributions are deeply valued, and we look forward to working closely with you.

Throughout the school year, you can expect open lines of communication, engaging learning experiences, and a safe and nurturing environment for your children. Please feel free to reach out to our dedicated staff or myself if you have any questions, ideas, or concerns. Together, we can ensure that this school year is a memorable and successful one for all.

With immense enthusiasm, I welcome you to the 2023 - 2024 academic year at Artondale Elementary. Here's to a year filled with exploration, creativity, empathy, and the pursuit of dreams!

Warmest regards,

Jessica Rosendahl

Big picture

Otter Summer Reading Program

Otters, we hope you enjoyed some wonderful books this summer.

Don't forget about our summer reading program, to read 1,000 minutes this summer! Use the reading tracker to keep track of the minutes that you read this summer. For every 20 minutes of reading, color in a circle...if you color all 50 circles then you have done it! 1,000 minutes of reading!!

Students took home the bookmark and tracker form in June. If you lost your tracker or you are new to Artondale you can still join the program. Here is a copy of the tracker to use if you would like.

There are only a few weeks left. Return the tracker log and bookmark at our meet and greet to earn free books! We hope to see you there! If you do not attend the meet and greet, you can still return the tracker and bookmark to your classroom teacher.
