Childhood and Early Life

Born in LA as the child of Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, Jolie was often exposed to the world of theatre and acting. She stated how she often watched movies with her mother, which sparked her interest. When she was 7 years old, she gained a small part in Lookin' to Get Out, a movie co-written and starred by her father. She began being seen in small films with her brother here and there. In 1993, she began her professional career when she starred in the science fiction sequel Cyborg 2.

Leadership

Jolie has taken the initiative to start projects and become apart of them to change the world for the better. While Angelina was filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, she witnessed the effects of a humanitarian crisis. She stated it "opened her eyes," and was the event that pushed her to begin joining forces to help multiple causes. Along through her life, Jolie learned teamwork and communication. She has been a spokesperson for many occasions and has even risked her life to help, a quality of bravery.

To be a successful leader, one must be able to communicate effectively, be reliable, express motivation for others to make a difference, be able to listen and cooperate with others, and have a positive attitude, etc. Many people look up to Angelina Jolie as a down to earth woman who truly cares about the problems the world faces today. Jolie has to ability to make a difference and she puts her powers to good use, making her a strong role model to people everywhere.
