Saints Scoop
Mrs. Ciminera’s Weekly Update
Week of 11/6
Happy November! It is so hard to believe it is already November! Time seems to be flying by!
The 2nd graders did an amazing job in their Saints Show on Friday. We learned about so many wonderful saints! I am so grateful to Miss Maloney and Mrs. Wesner for such a fantastic presentation.
We have more happy news at SCJN! Mrs. Geesey shared the news that she is expecting baby BOY number 2 this May! We are so excited for Mr. and Mrs. Geesey and big Brother Brayden (PreK3) as their family continues to grow. We can't wait for Baby Geesey's arrival in May!
This is Mrs. Corrado's last week as a long term sub at SCJN! I am sure we will see her subbing daily for the rest of the year. Mrs. Muir will return on Monday, November 13! We are excited to have her back!
Conferences will take place this week on Thursday and Friday. There is NO school for students on Friday. Middle School students should plan to attend their conference with their parents. If you have not signed up for a conference yet, you should email your child's teacher to set one up!
On November 12th, Tom and Mary Conaghan along with their children are being inducted into the Delaware Valley Irish Hall of Fame. Here is the link to the event:

We will have an Open House this Sunday from 9:00-11:00am. Please continue to share the good news about our amazing school!!
All the students in PreK3-8th grade have or will be having Kid Talk lessons this week. Be sure to ask your child about these lessons and read the letters that come from the teachers.
Today we had a Shelter in Place drill at SCJN. We have a different safety drill each month at school. The students did an amazing job!!
Thank you to those who have already sent in donations for the Thanksgiving Food Drive! Be sure to check the attachment below. All items are due by next Friday, November 17.

Virtue of the Month and Prayer Corner
Our virtue for the month of November is Stewardship. Stewardship is returning to God the first fruits of your time, talent and treasure.
We pray that all of our school families stay safe and healthy. We pray for the Sheehan, Smith, Sirolli, Chila, Clements, Cognato, Conway, and Sheaffer families. We pray for Austin Beletrante, Lily Walker, Mike McNicholas, Marion Somers, Carolyn Foran, Tricia Humpton, Bill Tierney and Kathryn Blaney. We pray for all of those affected by breast cancer. We pray for one special intention. We pray for the Mendez family and the McKnight family. We pray for the people of Israel. We pray for peace in our world and our community. We pray that we all have the courage to be kind and accepting of each other.

Reminders and Important Information
-Attached to this email is information regarding Home Net Guardian. A service to filter the internet at your house. John Carullo is our Tech Support at SCJN and he is a wonderful resource to us at school.
Home and School
-Spirit Wear clothing and gear continues to be available on our site! Please see the link below and happy shopping. Stay tuned for a holiday Flash Sale as we get closer to the holidays.
-Class Cocktail Parties are a wonderful opportunity for the parents of SCJN to gather and socialize! These parties can take a number of forms and as host your responsibility is to provide the space - at your home or elsewhere. Many parties are BYOB and/or snacks to share. In recent years we've had families host by reserving space at a bar, and others have hosted themed parties at their homes.
Thank you to those who have already volunteered to host:
PK-3 - Lydia Holiat and Michael Pidhirskyj, Friday, November 10
PK-4 - The Peluso family, Friday, May 31
1st - The O' Donovan family, TBD
3rd - The Barrickman family, TBD
7th - The Russo family, TBD
8th - The Logan family, TBD
Thank you to the Garlepp and Shaknis families for already hosting!
We are still looking for families to host parties for the following grades: 4th, 5th, and 6th. If you are interested in hosting a class cocktail party for one of these grades, please contact Home & School Vice President, Becky Catterson at rebeccascatterson@gmail.com.
- Lunch Volunteers - we are looking for additional help at lunch time!
For weekly/biweekly sign ups:
Please click the link below to a google spreadsheet and review the first tab with "directions."
If you cannot commit to a weekly or bi-weekly, you can add yourself to the substitute list (far right tab) as there are frequent needs for substitutes. An email chain is available to request a substitute or plan for a switch in coverage. If you have trouble accessing or filling out this form, please contact Alison Tobin who will be happy to add you to your preferred day of the week/grade.
WEEKLY/BIWEEKLY - SIGN UP HERE
For monthly sign ups:
If you are unable to commit on a weekly/biweekly basis but would like to volunteer for specific dates we will have a monthly form available. We would also encourage you to sign up as a substitute as mentioned above.
