Walmart Foundation Grant Opportunity
The Walmart Foundation is making up to $3 million in grants available through a competitive RFP, and will award grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 to eligible organizations chosen for the purpose of helping to accelerate progress for new, innovative efforts or scaling existing initiatives that support programs related to strengthening community cohesion or expanding pathways to career opportunity for diverse communities.
The RFP process will be administered online using the CyberGrants application system which can be accessed here. If you do not already have an account, you will need to create one when accessing the site for the first time. There will be a Q&A session and CyberGrants training on November 16, 2017. If your organization is considering this RFP opportunity, the Walmart Foundation strongly encourages you and others on your team to participate in the webinar training scheduled for November 16, 2017 at 3:00pm-4:00pm ET/2:00pm-3:00pm CT. CyberGrants will be open to accept a Letter of Intent (LOI) on Monday, November 20, 2017. You will need to use the case sensitive invitation code: DIRFPCM to submit an LOI. The deadline to submit an LOI is 11:59pm ET on Friday, December 22, 2017. For the purpose of this RFP, diverse communities are defined as African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American/Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaska Native, Individuals with Disabilities, LGBTQ, and Women.

Deputy Chief Program Officer
Based in Washington, D.C. or Chicago, IL
Work closely with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead the development and implementation of a long-term Program strategy and ensure that the Program team is run in an efficient and high-performing way. The Deputy CPO will report directly to the Chief Program Officer and work collaboratively with Program team Directors, as well as leaders from other departments across the Foundation. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 7+ years of previous experience managing large teams and/or projects, as well as significant experience with long-term strategic planning and execution. They should also have a track record of generating creative/innovative solutions to problems, a background in or understanding of civic participation and engagement, and experience thriving in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Manager of Planning and Design

Ensure that the museum is on track to open on time by successfully managing the exhibition design schedule, engaging and managing exhibition design stakeholders (Foundation staff, consultants, vendors) to meet deadlines, and ensuring that the project remains aligned with the overall budget. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management skills; extensive experience using project management software; a strong architecture and design background with a proven ability to read and review architectural and exhibit design plans; and a track record of investing, managing, and communicating with others to effectively achieve planning objectives while staying on budget. A minimum of 10 years of experience with museum planning and exhibition design is required. This position is located in Washington, D.C. or Chicago. Graphics Design Associate
The Obama Foundation is hiring a Graphic Design Associate who will play a key role in maintaining and evolving the Foundation’s visual identity to help ensure consistent identity expression across all areas of the Foundation. They will ensure that marketing, interactive, and presentation/visuals are beautiful, on-trend, and further the visual narrative of the Obama Foundation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in Adobe Creative Suite and has a deep understanding of the nuances of web vs. print typography.
