Summit SPARKS News
MARCH 2019
Principal's Corner
Dear Summit Road STEM Families,
It's hard to believe that we are almost at the end of the 3rd quarter. I hope that everyone has a safe spring break, which will be from March 9 through March 18. We will see all students back to school on Tuesday March 19 for the start of the 4th quarter.
April will be a busy month as we complete most of our spring testing. 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking Ohio's State Assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Please see below for specific dates of these assessments. Additionally, all students will be completing their spring diagnostic testing for I-Ready. Please look for information about this from your student's teacher as the dates get closer.
Looking ahead, we hope you are planning to join us for the 2019 Summit Road Elementary STEM Night on April 17. The event will last from 6:30-8:00 pm and will give students and families an opportunity to explore hands-on STEM activities together. It should be a great night of fun and learning!
Thank you for all that you do to support your student and please feel free to reach out to the school if you have any questions about the information in our March newsletter. Keep sparking your curiosity and have a magnificent March!
