Principal's Message
I hope you all had a relaxing and safe three day weekend! I appreciate the 70+ elementary parents that were able to join me during my Principal Community Zoom meeting last Thursday. I hope you found the information shared helpful as you made your instructional setting selection. A reminder that plans for in-person instruction are currently in place for elementary students. No plans are in place for Middle School students at this time.
Our Superintendent, Dr. Jill Baker, sent out a community video update on Friday, February 5. Find the link above to watch the video. I look forward to discussing our re-opening plans with you as the date gets closer.
Here are some announcements for the week:
1. Our teachers have been hard at work to complete elementary achievement reports and grades. Parents, be advised that you will be able to view your child's grades starting this Friday, February 12.
2. Middle School Minimum Days, Wed/Thurs- In order to provide teacher planning time for distance learning, our district has declared Wednesdays and Thursdays as Minimum Days for middle school students until further notice.

3. Black History Month- Our district has provided lessons and resources for teachers and students to use to celebrate Black History Month, beginning Feb. 1. 4. Coalition of Involved African American Parents (CIAAP)- Thank you to Ms. Carmen Sumpter, an elementary parent, for her interest for represent Robinson at these meetings. I look forward to making you all aware of any additional updates.
5. Washington/President's Day Holiday Next Week- Next Monday, Feb. 15, there will be no school in honor of President Washington and other Presidents.
6. CORE SURVEY - It's that time off the year where you get a chance to tell us how we are doing as a school. I look forward to your honest feedback so that we can reflect at Robinson and ensure we are meeting the needs of our school community. The survey window is from 2/9 - 3/19. Be on the lookout for an email from Panorama Education.

¡Espero que hayan tenido un fin de semana de tres días relajante y seguro! Agradezco a los más de 70 padres de primaria que pudieron acompañarme durante mi reunión del Director Community Zoom el jueves pasado. It's Time to Celebrate!
Black History Month School-Wide Bingo
In recognition of Black History, we will be learning about the contributions of our African American fellows by hosting a School-Wide Bingo game! Please join in on the fun by researching the Hints that are announced daily via the Canvas Broadcast system and mark the name of the person on your Bingo card. Bingo winners may submit their name to their Elementary or Middle School PE Teacher. Once your name is submitted, you may visit the school during lunch to pick up your special prize. I Hope you enjoy learning about African American contributions to our great nation!

Please pledge to support our attendance efforts by:
*Establishing a routine for bedtime and for the morning for your child
*Checking on your child’s attendance regularly (ParentVue)
*Encouraging your child to log in to CANVAS account, participate and engage unless he/she is truly sick
*Calling the school and provide notes when your child is absent
*Communicate with your teacher or Office to report any technology problems.
