Principal Muñoz's Message:
Being Caring Bobcat Leaders
I would like to thank you for the support you have given us the past 2 1/2 weeks of school. We have received donated school supplies, leadership uniforms, and several "just let us know what you need, Ms. Munoz" offers from our families. We appreciate you supporting us and also showing the IB attribute of caring for others (our community).
As you might have experienced recently, we engage in quite a bit of community outreach opportunities. Our young Bobcat leaders participated in a Peanut Butter Bowl Drive to support Kennedy High School's Football Food Drive. Thank you for donating Peanut Butter! We are now showing how much we care about others and the love of books. We are having a book drive to support the elementary and middle schools in Kentucky that had their libraries destroyed due to the floods they experienced. We are seeing if our young leaders have any gently used or new books to donate to children their age in Kentucky as they build back their library. As IB students, we work toward creating a better world. And caring acts like the food and book drive help our leaders see they are working toward this goal!
Have an amazing week!

IB Term of the Week: Reflective
Our IB Learner Profile Attribute focus for the month of August is "Reflective." Leaders have been busy learning about this attribute as we settle into the new school year.
Students who are reflective thoughtful consider the world and their own ideas, learning, and experiences. They are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development. We will have our first Leadership Rally of the year this Friday where each class will highlight a student leader who has demonstrated being reflective already this year. Check back next week to see pictures from our Leadership Rally!
Reflective Questions to Practice:
What do I see others doing around me?
What do I see myself doing around others?
Am I helping myself grow and learn?
What can I do differently? How can I achieve that?
What should I do the same? What will that look like this time around?
How can I be the best me? How will that help others?
What change can I make to benefit my world?
We will continue to share information about IB common terms here each week so you can support your leader both at school and at home.
