Dear Families,
This newsletter is dedicated to all the families that need support and guidance during these rough times due to Winter Storm Uri.
I hope everyone is safe as we begin the thawing process. Currently many of us still do not have have electricity and/or water. Below you will find resources to help if you need a warm place to stay, water, food, or utilities support.
Please let us know how we can help. I have added my contact information, if you need to reach out. You can also contact your child's teacher, they will in return reach out to us for more information on any resources that are needed.
Do not hesitate to contact us. We are here for each other. These are the times that we look to each other for help and support. Camino Real Roadrunners are always here for each other. We are CRES strong.

o Center will provide food 24hrs a day until Saturday. February 20th at 5:30!
· Hays Water Distribution - water filling station available at Hays High School, 4800 Jack C Hays Trail Friday February 19 until 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm.
o Residents should bring their own recipients and will be allowed up to 5 gallons of water

If you are in need of transportation to a warming shelter, call (512) 305-4233.
If you are in need of food and cannot leave your home, call the city's emergency food line at 211. The city's 311 line is also back up and running.

Austin Mutual Aid is securing hotels for unhoused people as well as working to get hot meals to those who need it.

- Residents can begin work repairing homes as soon as they are able

Warming Centers
The Palmer Event Center is now at full capacity and cannot accept any more people in need of shelter. However, there is still limited room available at:

The Austin Disaster Relief Network is also operating a network of faith-based locations to operate as shelters. These locations are not equipped with full services. People accessing these locations should bring supplies and blankets. For more information visit: https://adrn.org/shelters/

Transportation:
Capital Metro is resuming service: 10 am - 7 pm over the weekend and will return to normal hours on Monday. All fairs will remain suspended through Sunday, February 21st.

Community Action, Inc. Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) (512) 392-1161, ext. 324 or 334 - Assisting families with energy assistance programs. Have several other programs.
Kyle Housing Authority (512) 268-7801 - assist with public housing.
Caldwell County Christian Ministries (512) 376-6661 - Assist with utility bills when funding is available.
Southside Community Center (512) 392-6694 - They can offer transitional housing assistance, emergency assistance and are a good resource for other community organizations.
