Traveling to the Great Wall

The Great Wall
The Great Wall was built after unification of China by Qin Shi Huangdi. The great Wall goes through the country, over deserts, hills, plains and other areas of China for several thousands of miles. The wall was ineffective, it was breached in the 13th and the 17th centuries by the Mongols and the Manchu. Today only sections of the crumbling wall are restored. The Great Wall is located in North China and winds around 5,500 miles east and west.
Visiting
You should visit the Great Wall because it is a piece of history that is still standing. This a wall made for battle and is surprising it is still standing. Because of its age you could learn how it was made and when it was made. Places to visit at the Great wall are Jiayu Guan, Badaling and Juyong Guan, and Shanhaiguan. Jiayu Guan is a passing it is trapezoid-shaped,There are two gates one on the east side of the pass, and the other on the west side. At each gate there is a building. The Badaling and Juyong Guan is part of the Great Wall and is the traveling part of it, This is the part where you can walk and get tours. Shanhaiguan is one of the major passes and is known as "The First Pass Under Heaven". it is one of the more popular visiting areas at the Great Wall.
