Battle of the Books

Students in grades 3 through 6 are assembling Battle of the Book teams. Third graders compete as one grade while students in grades 4 through 6 compete as a group. Teams are limited to 8 students per team. Teams have until December 19 to submit their team to Mrs. Bradford.

Spelling Bee

The building Spelling Bee will take place on December 11, at 1:15. Students in grades three through six participate. Parents are invited. Parents of students who are taking part in the Bee will receive a letter notifying you of their involvement.

No School - Friday

Our students do not have school on Friday, December 12, 2014. As students are home, staff will be involved in learning. We are engaging in ways to enhance learning with the use of technology.

First Grade, Second Grade, and Chorus Musical

The students did a great job performing in front of a packed gymnasium at Jefferson Junior High School. Thanks to Ms. Partyka who prepared the students for a fun performance.

School Closing Notifications

The decision to close school is left to the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Skinner. When she makes the decision to close school, we notify parents in the following ways:

Sipley School Mitten Drive

We are having a mitten drive. Send in a new pair, or two, or three, or more to school. We will be collecting mittens up until Winter Break.

Movie Night

Thursday - STP Movie Night at JJHS - 6:45 - 8:30. Come out to see Elf! Bring your own chairs/blankets. Arrive at 6:30. Concessions will consist of candy, popcorn, and drinks.
