Love & Logic is an interactive parenting workshop hosted by the Goochland Department of Social Services. In this workshop, parents will learn to set enforceable limits with their children, avoid un-winnable power struggles, guide children to own and solve their own problems and much more.

The next session of Love & Logic parenting classes will run on Tuesdays from May 11, 2023, through June 8, 2023, 5:30-7:30 pm. Classes will be held in the Goochland County Administration building, and there will be snacks and drinks. Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement organization that works with children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person. The programs are free of charge and include trust-building activities and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone offers programs to children ages 7-17 and their families for the family programs. Additionally, they offer young adult programs for 18-25-year-olds.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses. The training teaches necessary skills to provide initial help and support to those developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis.
