Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, February 8
This Wednesday, February 8, Dryden students and families are encouraged to give a honk, high-five, hug or "hello" to our dedicated, amazing Crossing Guard, Mr. Poteracki! No matter the weather, we are so fortunate that we have been able to count on Mr. Poteracki for the past 12 years to be at the intersection of Dryden and Rockwell to help our students and families safely cross the street as they walk to and from school at each day!
Bravo, 5th Grade Band!
The 5th grade students of Dryden, Westgate and Windsor Elementary Schools came together for a spectacular performance at South Middle School last week!
Friday FLIPS
The Dryden staff is on the lookout for students going above and beyond in big and small ways to make a positive impact on their school community. These Dolphin sightings are recognized during the morning announcements on Fridays. The students below were recognized for exemplifying the Dryden Dolphin Do's of being CARING, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE. Stay tuned for updates on these awesome Dolphin sightings and Friday Flips!
February is Black History Month
Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation. Black History Month celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs and adversities that are a part of our country's history.

More Grants from ABC/25!
We are so thankful to the Dryden community for helping us reach our goal for the ABC/25 membership grant! This very generous $2500 grant from ABC/25 will go towards updating the stage sound system at Dryden.
Additionally, ABC/25 recently awarded a $100 grant to Art Teacher Mrs. Siegel for her support and encouragement of student artwork in the ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge T-Shirt Design Contest. Dryden had the most drawings submitted by students. We're excited for the art supplies this grant will bring!
Dryden PTA Receives Advocacy in Action Award
Earlier this year, Dryden PTA was the recipient of the Advocacy in Action Award from the Regional Council of PTAs. We're excited to see Dryden PTA recognized and celebrated for their outstanding positive impact on our school community!

WANT TO SEE YOUR STUDENT IN THE YEARBOOK? SEND US YOUR PHOTOS!!!
We ask that you email images you have from events during this school year to the Dryden Yearbook Team at drydenelementaryyearbook@gmail.com
Please be sure the images are:
- Clear and focused on faces rather than large crowd shots.
- School sponsored events/activities from the 22-23 school year (i.e. First day of School, Ice Cream Social, Halloween, Winter Wonderland, Spirit days, Assemblies, Club activities, Scout meetings, etc...).
- Include a variety of students. Choose your images based on how clear and well-composed they are. Please do not use this as an opportunity to photo dump or send multiples of the same or very similar images. Thank You!
When you send, please label the event within the subject line of your email. If you are sending multiple events, please do so via individual emails to keep events organized.
Thank you for your help! The Dryden Yearbook Team
