john Adams was born on October 30, 1735 to John Adams sr. and Susana Boylston. He was born on a farm in Braintree, Massachusetts. He had two younger brothers named Peter and Elihu.

Early life
As a child he wanted to grow up to be a farmer like his father. His father was also a cordwainer and a lieutenant for the militia. At the age of sixteen he enrolled at Harvard university from 1751-1755.
Raising a Family
In October 25th 1764 John Adams married Susana Boylston. Altogether they had six children. Abigail Adams, John Quincy Adams, Susana Adams, Charles Adams, Thomas Boylston Adams, and Abigail Adams.
