THE WEDNESDAY MESSAGE!
The Official Weekly of Salford Hills Elementary School
Holiday Giving Program Raises $1,050!
Please Review Your Child's Progress Report
We'd love to see 100% of our families view this record. If you're struggling, we're happy to help. Please phone our school office and either Mrs. Landis or Mrs. Randall will be glad to assist. Just ask!
Next month, we'll e-mail families to encourage participation and lend a hand.
For PreK - 2nd Gr. and Their Families
On Friday, January 24th, Indian Valley Middle School will be hosting our second annual science night for children from Pre-K - 2nd grade. Indian Valley’s SAVE Club wants to share their love of science with your children. Their hope is to stimulate a love of science in them as well. Each child will rotate through 7 activities. The activities range from making slime to elephant toothpaste to walking rainbows. Every activity is a fun hands-on activity!
The event will run from 6:00 PM to 7:50 PM at Indian Valley Middle. There is no cost for this but will ask for a $1.00 donation to help pay for supplies. Please don’t let the $1.00 donation stop your child from participating, truly it is just a donation. We want your child to love science!
Please go to this link http://bit.ly/ivsciencenight2020 and sign your child up. This is not just for Souderton students so feel free to ask family and friends.
Parents and/or Caregivers are expected to accompany their child(ren) throughout the night.
Please be aware that one station will give students an opportunity to interact with live chickens. There will be a handwashing station available immediately following the station or children can opt out completely and complete an alternate activity in the hallway for that time of the evening.
If you have any questions, please email Suzanne Thomas at suthomas@soudertonsd.org.
We look forward to seeing you!

Changes Brewing for the Home and School Facebook Page
We have created a new "Salford Hills Elementary Home and School" closed group! This means that not anyone can join, and will ensure our information, pictures, etc stay within our school community and not the general public. Please search for the page and request to join; one of our administrators will be happy to accept you!
https://www.facebook.com/groups/442258103156141/
We hope to be much more active with posts about school, activities, field trips, etc on the new group... On that note, we encourage everyone to send us any pictures of events at or sponsored by school or home and school so we can post them.
The old page will be phased out and deleted early in 2020.
