Tummy Troubles:
Stomachaches are a common problem amongst school ages children. There can be many reasons for stomachaches, one of which is constipation. Constipation is quite common in school age children and can be the result of a poor diet or sometimes unwillingness to use the bathroom at school. Talk with your child about using the bathroom at school and reassure them that it is normal for everyone to go poo even at school. Increasing water and fiber intake can be very helpful in regulating your child’s bowel movements. Try adding a piece of fruit to breakfast or some vegetables on pizza for dinner and encouraging plenty of water throughout the day.
