MISSION: IGNITING A PASSION FOR LEARNING
Message from the Principal
Hello Farmington Families!
A few updates to share:
- Our new Art Teacher, Mrs. Margaret Lucas begins with us on Monday, November 1st. Mrs. Lucas comes to us with many years of amazing art classroom experience. She is excited to share her love of art education with our students!
- Ms. Jennifer Pflum will be joining us in the month of November to begin her career teaching music! We look forward to introducing her to our welcoming staff and fantastic students. We appreciate the help of Mrs. Lytie as she works with Ms. Pflum until she can officially begin as our music teacher (Ms. Pflum will be our music para until she gets her license in late Dec.). As we head into the holiday season, we wanted to share that as last year, our holiday concert will be held virtually in a sing-along format.
Senior Citizens' Thanksgiving Meal
It's back, the Annual Senior Citizens' Thanksgiving Meal, sponsored by the KHS Key Club and Kewaskum Kiwanis Club! Community senior citizens should mark their calendars for this free traditional Thanksgiving meal on Saturday, November 20, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. No RSVP is needed.
Community Survey 2021-Watch your mailbox (the first week in November) for a survey about the operations of the Kewaskum School District and future planning needs. Help us identify
- What are we doing well?
- Where do we need to improve?

A Message From Our School Psychologist:
Hello Farmington families!
I will be in the building on November 4th for parent teacher conferences. Please feel free to stop by room 104 and introduce yourself! I look forward to meeting you and learning more about all of our students.
I recently had the opportunity to attend the Wisconsin School Psychology Association conference. It was a pleasure to learn more about ways in which our building can better support students and families. The district is continuing to work with CESA 6 and Professional Services Group on our recent mental health grant. Keep an eye out for upcoming presentations from Dr. Dana Ballewske on a variety of mental health related topics. We hope to see you there!
If you have questions about special education you can reach me at 262-626-8427 ext 7115, email me at serdmann@kewaskumschools.org or visit https://dpi.wi.gov/sped.
A Message From Our School Counselor:
The Elementary Schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week, during the last week of October.
At Farmington Elementary, each of the classes participated in a 15 to 20 minute mini lesson on making healthy choices for the mind and body, as well as standing up for doing what’s right if they witness bullying behaviors. Each of the kids signed a red hand that was placed into a “pledge” ribbon to celebrate the week. The 5th grade class utilized their D.A.R.E. knowledge to create promotional “anti-drug”/healthy choices posters to display around the ribbon.
