Jefferson Davis

Jefferson Davis was born on June 3, 1808 and grew up in Mississippi. Davis had a tough childhood as the youngest of ten children. He became President of the Confederate States in 1861.

Abe Lincoln

Abe worked hard for an education. He married Mary Todd and had four children. He ran for Senator in 1858 but lost to a man named Stephen A. Douglas. Abe was our 16th President.
