Senior Exit Survey
Seniors, CLICK HERE to open the senior exit survey. You must complete the survey by May 31.
Adopt-A-Senior Program
The larger Spanaway community wants to show your kids some love for graduation and has organized a way to celebrate each senior on a more individual basis. To participate, visit the Adopt-an-SLHS-Senior page to fill out a survey of your student's favorite things and your senior will be assigned to a family who is looking to celebrate SLHS seniors with notes/gifts/etc.
Senior Yard Signs
You can still order an 18โx24โ, water proof yard sign for your senior from Stick It Vinyl Sign and Banner. Signs come with an H-stake to display. Decision Day Celebration: June 1st Virtual Event
Itโs not too late to include your post high school plans in our virtual Decision Day. Please contact Mindee Graver at mgraver@bethesd.org to ensure your information is included. Contact her ASAP. We want to celebrate you and your post high school plans!
Senior Awards Night: June 3rd Virtual Event
Families will receive a formal invitation to this event. On June 3, the link to the video will be sent out to award recipients.
Senior Finals Week: June 8th-11th
Senior Finals Week is during June 8th-11th, with teacher determined times/deadlines.
All work is due in order for teachers to grade and verify successful course completion. An incomplete on June 11th, will require a counselor and admin meeting for graduation verification.
Senior iPad & Book Collection
Thursday, June 11th (2:00 pm-7:30 pm)
Friday, June 12th (9:00 am-2:30 pm)
Monday, June 15th (9:00 am-2:30 pm)
Use this checklist to be a part of a safe, smooth collection:
- Charge your iPad to 100%
- Reset your iPad: Settings --> Reset --> Erase all content and settings --> Backup then Erase
- Bring your charging block and cable (these need to match the originally issued accessories: all white, square block, Apple brand)
- If your original block and/or cord is damaged, bring it anyways (There will be no fines for broken blocks/cords! You'll ONLY be charged fines for missing items.)
- Gather all your textbooks and library books
- Want to see everything that's checked out to you? Here's how
- It's strongly suggested to wear a mask or face covering during collection

Running Start Update:
Pierce College has a new process for students who are interested in Running Start. If you are a current sophomore or junior and are interested in Running Start at Pierce College for next year, please follow these steps.
- Step 1: Complete a Pierce College Admissions Application. The application link will be working on May 11. Once your application is processed, you will receive a welcome email and Pierce College ID number.
- Step 2: Place into college level English. Contact the Pierce College Testing and Placement Center for Guided Self Placement (GSP: PuyTesting@pierce.ctc.edu). If you qualify for Running Start, you will receive an email that you will need to forward to your SLHS counselor. If you plan to take math at Pierce College, you will also need to complete the Math GSP.
- ยทStep 3: Connect with your SLHS counselor for your Running Start Enrollment Verification Form (EVF). Email your counselor to schedule a Zoom appointment.
- Step 4: Log in to your MyPierce account and complete the New Student Guide, including the Student Intake Form in Module 7. Approximately 3 business days later, you will receive an email with information regarding how to schedule your advising appointment and how to provide your Running Start EVF to Pierce College.
While most SLHS Running Start students attend Pierce College, some also attend other local community and technical colleges. If you are interested in Running Start at Tacoma Community College, Clover Park Technical College, Green River College, or Bates Technical College, please check their Running Start websites for application and placement steps.
