We would like to say.....
Many thanks to all of the parents and guardians that attended our Parent Teacher Conferences in October. We had outstanding attendance at all elementary grade levels. Thank you for collaborating with our teachers to assure your child's success. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with you!
*It would be very helpful if you would place your child's name in all jackets, coats, hoodies, etc.
*Are you a stay-at-home parent? Do you have a flexible work schedule? The school distict is always looking for substitute paraeducators. Contact Debbie Bennage in the district office if you would be willing to sub.
*Breakfast begins in the cafeteria at 7:50 a.m. If your child is eating breakfast at school, please have them arrive at school by 8:00 a.m. Classes begin at 8:10 a.m.
*Please be reminded, students are counted tardy if they arrive after 8:10 a.m. each day.
*Danville Elementary has made some instructional changes to our spelling instruction. If you did not receive a spelling letter explaining the changes at PT Conferences, please contact your child's teacher or the office.
*Are you new to the district and/or interested in joining the Danville PVO? The Parent Volunteer Organization helps the elementary students and staff in many ways throughout the school year. If you are interested, contact Liz Long or Ashley Grinnell.
*The Fine Arts Department is conducting a fundraiser this month. Students will be bringing home order forms for holiday pies. Check your child's backpack or folder.
*All grades will once again be doing some sort of charity project during the holiday season. Stay tuned to find out what your child's grade level will be doing.
Nurse Emily Needs Your Assistance
If you have items to donate to the nurse's office, please send them to school with your child or drop them off in the front office. Thank you!
