You may be wondering what makes Indian a subcontinent or what is a subcontinent?

A subcontinent is not a continent on it's own, it is a large part of the part of the continent separated by a difficult land form to cross. Mt. Everest separates the Himalayas From the rest of the India. The huge Mountain or the Largest one in the world comes to a astonishing 29028 ft. TALL!

Ancient City Sites

India had two ancient civilizations the Harappa and then Mohenjo-Daro. Harappa domesticated animals, they had sheep, goats, and cattle. They had granary's and of course they stored food and grains. If you look up Harappa you would say this wasn't in India, then I would say yes it Was, but in now it is in modern day Pakistan. When growing crops Mohenjo-Daro would always have fertile soil sense the monsoon season. In the city the had each family had their own well to supply fresh water. Then eventually they had a waste water system.

India Today

For thousands of years people have lived in India. Today there are many different group of people in India, most follow in the foot steps of their ancestors. Most Indians are farmers and they live in the same villages as they did long ago, but now they have electricity, pluming, and methods of watching T.V. Today education is free for children 6 through 14. Still some children do not go to school instead they stay home to help their families.

Local Sports

There a many different kinds of sports in India for instants there are many different kinds of motor sports where people compete while riding motor cycles! There is also field hockey, cricket. As you can tell none of these are in or from the United States of America, so if you are interested go a head play a game it may be fun and maybe it will turn into a hobby.

Traveler Tips

India is a wonderful place to be, but be careful I would advise you to not drink the water, it has different partials that we are not used to. Speaking of water you may not want to go during monsoon season. this is when a great wind sweeps over the ocean creating it to rain lasting July though September. Be cautious of the food also you may not know what it is or what it can do to you. Be careful, have fun and, happy travels.
