PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear parents,
WELCOME BACK!!! I hope you all had a fun and restful break.
We’re glad to be back on track celebrating Wellness week and the last investigation of our Clothes Study.
We focused on “what special clothes do people wear for work?” and talked about the importance of everyone's job in our communities- just like our jobs in the classroom! And to see that better and as closure to our Clothes Study, we watched "Zootopia".
We also had a good time moving our bodies to the rhythm of the chicken dance and other fun songs, we practiced yoga postures and breathing exercises to help us calm down and had traditional outdoor games to make us sweat and detox! We did some coloring with mandalas to help us meditate and designed our own caps to use during our outdoor activities day.
Our snack challenge was a total hit! We enjoyed finding out about our fruits and veggies every day and now we know that if our plates are as colorful as the rainbow, we're eating healthy and getting all the energy we need!
Next week we'll start finding out all about WHEELS! I encourage you to go on a "wheel hunt" with your child and keep track of all the wheels you can spot :)
Objectives of the week:
- Demonstrates traveling skills
- Demonstrates balancing skills
- Demonstrates gross-motor manipulative skills
- Demonstrates fine-motor strength and coordination
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
