School Board Approves Elementary Rezoning Plan
The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees approved the elementary rezoning plan for the district starting in the 2022-2023 school year during a regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021.
The Board approved Plan 5 with modifications. Students currently enrolled at West Elementary residing in The Ridge at Northlake community (located north of the Harvest community) will have the option to continue to attend West or attend the new Elementary School #3 located in Canyon Falls.

District No Longer Accepting Transfers at West & AMS
Per School Board Policy FDA (Local), the district accepts transfers subject to capacity availability. Currently, capacity is not available at West Elementary and AMS. This became effective Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021.
Argyle Intermediate, Argyle High School, Hilltop Elementary and Elementary School #3 (which opens in August 2022) have available capacity and will continue to offer temporary transfers. Temporary transfers for West and AMS will be allowed for families who had started the process (including submission of housing contract) prior to Dec. 14, 2021.

Argyle Shifts to Class 5A in 2022-2023
The University Interscholastic League released the realignment cutoff enrollment figures for all classifications for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years. The enrollment number for schools in Class 5A is 1,300-1,924. Argyle High School reported an enrollment of 1,342 when figures were submitted in October.
The UIL will release the newly-aligned districts on Feb. 3, 2022. At that time, Argyle will learn which schools it will compete against. Argyle has won a record nine consecutive UIL Lone Star Cup Awards and 11 in school history. The move to Class 5A will also impact UIL competitions in fine arts and academics.

COVID-19 Cases - Reporting & Dashboard
Argyle ISD is providing a COVID-19 dashboard to keep parents, staff, students and the community aware of the positive case totals at the campuses. The dashboard is updated by 6 p.m. each school day. The numbers are based on only cases confirmed through documentation with campus nurses.
GigEm! Argyle's Scarlett Signs With Texas A&M
Argyle Eagle defensive tackle Jadon Scarlett is a new Texas A&M Aggie! Jadon signed Wednesday morning in the fieldhouse with his family, teammates and coaches. His special moment included him with a picture of his late father Noel.
Jadon was part of an A&M recruiting class that was regarded as No. 1 in the country.
Eagle Basketball Wins Fairfield Tournament
Lady Eagles Remain Undefeated With Victory Over Decatur
The Lady Eagles will return to action Friday at Lake Worth at 6:15 p.m.
