  • Robert E. Lee was born January 19, 1807 Standford Westmoreland
  • His father died when he was 11 years old he had three sister's two older brother's he took care of his moms horses and his family
  • while other boy's played outside he ran home to do chores
  • he also graduated from west point

Contribution to the Civil War

Robert E. Lee was a commander of the confederate Army. He was unable to stop the union Army and forced the the Army to fight until they had to surrender

Life After Civil War

He was president of a university of Washington and lee university. Over the years it grew physically and financially. He October 12, 1870 He was buried in Lexington, Virginia
