Cambodia
Cambodia is stretched over South East Asia. In total, its landmass is 181,035 square kilometres, and has a population of over 14.8 million. This makes Cambodia the 70th most popular country in the world. The Vietnam war, sadly, eventually lead into Cambodia. The war was from 1959 to 1975. The Cambodian genocide was one of the most violent "bloodiest" in history. After 5 years of savage fighting for survival, the republican gouvernment was killed and finally defeated on the 17th of April, 1975. The religion of 'Theravada Buddhism' covers approximately 95% of Cambodia all together. Cambodias' minority groups include:Vietnamese, Chinese, chams and thirty hill tribes. The capital city and latest city of Cambodia is Phnom Penh, which is also the most political, economical, and culturally centre city of Cambodia. Cambodia is also slowly recovering from all the horror of the Khmer Rouge’s, 'reign of terror'. Problems still happen; land mines, poverty, and devastated infrastructure. In Cambodia, the head of gouvernment is Hun Sen who's currently the longest serving non-royal leader, in South East Asia, and has been ruling Cambodia for over 25 years now.
