Charles Waters Author Visit
April 6th and 7th, 2021
Author Visit for Grades 3-5
Dear 3rd-5th Grade Families,
We are pleased to announce we have rescheduled the author visit with poet Charles Waters for 3rd-5th graders. Mr. Waters was supposed to visit us in March 2020, but had to be cancelled. He will now visit with all 3rd-5th graders virtually on April 6th & 7th. His poetry is included in several anthologies. He is the co-author of Can I Touch Your Hair? Poems of Race, Mistakes, and Friendship and Dictionary for a Better World: Poems, Quotes, and Anecdotes from A to Z.
If you have one of his books at home or will be purchasing one before the visit, you can fill out the form below if you would like him to personalize and sign a bookplate. A bookplate is a sticker that he will sign and send to the school and I will give it to you so you can stick it inside one of his books.
The schedule for the virtual author visit is:
April 6th 1:30-2:30 5th grade presentation
April 7th: 9:00-10:00- 3rd grade presentation
April 7th 11:15-12:15- 4th grade presentation
Looking forward to this fantastic opportunity for Wolcott!
