ALL HANDS ON DECK

Collective Commitment Corner
Team,
My reflection this week comes back to our continued endeavors in growing our students with perseverance, grit, and work ethic. Many of you have heard me say, “Just keep your firm and steady with expectations. Hold that bar high and the kids will rise to it.” It’s not easy work, but the payoff will come...eventually!
Take our students Corbin and Ty, for example. Using the language of math, these two are not only developing that grit and perseverance but think of the risk-taking involved! By describing to their classmates why certain exponential equations are not accurate, they are using the language of math and exercising their higher-order thinking skills. When we maintain our core values of high expectations and rigorous practice, our students do thrive! What a celebration!
Please know that next week I am scheduled to be out of the building quite a bit for various professional learning time such as ELA Council and the ELA and Math Networking downtown. Nonetheless, and as always, should you have any needs with planning and/or problem-resolving, just say the word. You know how to reach me!
