4th Grade Happenings: Week 19

Reagan Elementary - Leander Independent School District

Week of January 20 - 23, 2015

We believe that one of the biggest indicators of a child's success in school is the communication flow between school and home. To that end, the 4th grade will be communicating what's happening around our hood on a weekly basis. We'll highlight the current week's activities, what's coming up on the horizon, homework expectations, and any other additional information that you may find helpful as 4th grade parents. We know your time is valuable and your email boxes overflowing, but please take a moment to read our memo each week. We're trying a new format this year that we hope will communicate more information in a more concise manner. Questions and/or comments? Please let us know!

Our Best,

Karen & Stephanie

Winter Wonderland

Mrs. Freeman, our Art teacher, and with the help of fabulous volunteers is turning our hallways into a Winter Wonderland. Each class had the opportunity to create a snowman to be displayed as a part of our Reagan school community Wonderland. We love giving the kids a creative outlet and letting them shine. Presenting the masterpieces for Beasleyville & LaCombeland.

Temperature Check - Coats, Please!

Just because we live in Texas doesn't mean it's hot ALL the time! Please remind your child to be watchful of the daily temperatures, especially since they fluctuate so extremely this time of year, and dress appropriately. COATS ARE A MUST as we will be out for recess and PE (on occasion) as temperatures will allow. Per district policy, students will not be outside for recess if the "real feel" temperature is below 40 degrees. Temperatures often change drastically during the course of a day, so please remind your child to be prepared for indoor or outdoor recess.

Parents, you may want to take a look at the January PTA newsletter. There are articles about the future Makerspace in the library, photos of Mrs. Moran's new baby, carnival news, garden tips, event photos, and much more. Click here: http://reagan.my-pta.org/content.asp?PageID=186"

The 2014-15 yearbook is available for preorder online now! Click the link below for more information.

We thought it would be fun to share family fun events that are happening in our community.
